As Lindsay Lohan faces four fresh criminal charges, even former foes are rooting for the oft-troubled actress.
The Liz & Dick star was charged with a total of four misdemeanors on Thursday. Lohan was arrested for third-degree assault after an alleged altercation with a fellow female patron — who has been identified as Tiffany Eve Mitchell, 28, of West Palm Beach, Fla. — at Avenue nightclub in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. And following her late-night run-in with the law, the actress racked up three more charges in connection to her June car crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica, Calif.
In light of her latest legal woes, Lohan’s probation status hangs in the balance. As mother Dina Lohan stands by her embattled daughter, Lohan’s one-time adversary Francesca Eastwood is sharing words of support for the actress.
“She’s really talented,” the E! reality star told Celebuzz after she was named Miss Golden Globe 2013 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. “Don’t waste the talent.”
Lohan infamously hit headlines in August after causing a scene at Eastwood’s 19th birthday bash at Hollywood hot spot Bootsy Bellows. As the Mrs. Eastwood & Company star celebrated with pals and photographer boyfriend Tyler Shields in a private seating area, Lohan reportedly stormed the soiree, shouting, “I’m a star, she’s a nobody, get her out of her,” according to Us Weekly.
Eastwood took the high road in the aftermath, though. “Regardless, I still had an amazing birthday,” she told E! News. “Parent Trap is still my favorite movie.”
Now Eastwood is preparing to step into the spotlight as the newly-christened Miss Golden Globe. “I’m excited. I’m proud,” she gushed at a Globe’s party held Thursday at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood. “I can’t wait to go up there.”
After receiving word that she landed the coveted Globe’s gig, she was quick to share the news with her famous parents — actor-filmmaker Clint Eastwood and actress Frances Fisher. “I called them immediately when I found out I was offered and chosen to be Miss Golden Globe. And he said, ‘Ya know, I think that’s a really good idea.’ He’s really supportive.”
Eastwood admitted she has some anxieties about stepping into the role for January awards show. “I’m just going to make sure that I can commit to my [heels] for the whole night,” she said. “I’m nervous about falling, but that’s about it.” But she has the perfect mentor to prep her: “My older sister was Miss Golden Globe in 2005, so I’ll definitely be calling her and asking her what it was like.”
The 70th Golden Globe Awards will be broadcast live from the Beverly Hilton on NBC on Sunday, Jan. 13, at 8 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. PT.
